We aim to foster a sense of support within our area and encourage students to develop their journalistic skills while emphasizing the importance of local engagement. Whether it’s personal essays, bold opinions, creative works, or thought-provoking commentary, we believe in showcasing the diverse voices and perspectives of our journalists.

Here, no topic is too niche, no idea too wild—every writer has a platform. We welcome and encourage our readers to submit a piece they are proud of for one of our issues, check out our submit section, we can’t wait to read what you send us!
Why "LOTTIE"?
Our magazine’s name comes from “Lottie,” a charming nickname for the name Charlotte, as we are proud to call Charlotte, NC our home. It’s simple, cute, and reflects the warmth and personality we aim to bring to every page.
